Sony's Mid RANGE

Sony is known as one of the few manufacturers that always seems to release new devices with the latest Android version. Scratch that for the next few Sony smartphones as documents spotted by the Dutch website Mobiel kopen show its new Xperia L3, XA3, and XA3 Ultra smartphones will come with Oreo and not Android Pie. It's unclear whether Sony plans to update these phones with Android Pie, but the decision to go with the nearly two-year-old Oreo build seems baffling.

In addition, the docs show that the budget Xperia L3 will come with a 5.7-inch screen and HD+ (1440x720) resolution, whereas the slightly higher end XA3 and its Ultra variant will get Full HD 5.9-inch and 6.5-inch panels.
